Help us win a £5,000 Arts and Culture Award?
I think you’d all agree that £5000 would be a great addition to our project and our fundraising so it would be great if you could nominate us for an award! I’ve just done it, all our core group have and it’s quick and easy:
You’ll find all the details by clicking on the link below and the front page looks like this:
In the box where you are asked to Nominate a charity for the £5,000 Arts & Culture Draw, type in St George and St Mary’s Church, Church Gresley and you’ll see 1159929 – THE PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL OF THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF ST GEORGE AND ST MARY, CHURCH GRESLEY appear.
In the drop down box where you are asked for the charity type, click on Heritage and Arts.
Then, after a few details about you, click on nominate and that’s it, job done!
Thank you very much for supporting us.
While I have your attention
Are you able to support our next fundraising event, an evening of song, music and entertainment with our local ‘Singing Plumber’!
Kev Crane, the talented Singing Plumber, will be performing and entertaining the crowd with 80s songs and unique story.
Bring your own drink and food.
This is what Kev says:
‘To give you a little background, I became known after fitting three bathrooms at Paul Conneally’s house, who owns a record label called (New Reality Records), and the neighbour heard me singing in his bathroom and asked Paul, (Who’s that guy singing in your bathroom). He replied, ‘it’s the plumber.’
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I’d built a recording studio in my basement during lockdown and finished recording an album I’d started 25 years ago, and Paul asked to listen to it, then asked me if I’d like to put it out on his record label, to which I said yes.
Then, the press got wind of the story, which went viral. The story went across the UK and Europe, and then it hit America and was a prominent feature in (The Washington Post).’
You can find Kev on Facebook and he is signed to Loughborough’s New Reality Records.
Tickets are available – book them HERE!
Many thanks for your ongoing support!
Kind regards,
Karen on behalf of the Friends of St George and St Mary’s core group.
