Burton Youth for Christ turns 40

Burton Youth for Christ turns 40 this year and on 14th/15th November we are celebrating this momentous occasion in various ways and would really love your church to join us!

Friday 14th November, 4pm – 11pm

Pray for 40 minutes for the young people of our town. Come join us at our office (rear of 83 High Street, Burton DE14 1LD) any time between 4pm – 11pm to pray for 40 minutes … you can stay longer if you wish!

Each hour will have a new focus as we pray together, or you are welcome to pray silently using prayer stations. The kettle goes on after 40 minutes.

  • 4pm – Quiet Worship and Prayer Stations. This will just be quiet individual prayer.
  • 5pm – Prayer for our Churches – Christian youth, youth groups, our work with church youth
  • 6pm – Online Prayer – join us in person or online to pray for all aspects of young people in our town. Please email us or check our website for the link nearer the time.
  • 7pm – Prayer for our Schools – teachers, education system, pupils, our work in schools
  • 8pm – Worship!
  • 9pm – Prayer for our Community – spiritual hunger to rise, prayer for Burton, our work in the community
  • 10pm – Hearing from God – what is God saying over our young people and our organisation?

Saturday 15th November

  • 3:30pm: We will have a very short AGM at our office
  • 4:30pm – 7pm: This is invite only event – for past and current staff, volunteers and supporters to celebrate with us over afternoon tea.
  • 7:30pm: Open to everyone, come join us at the Burton Bridge Inn, where ‘One for the Road’ will be hitting the decks playing your favourite 80’s music. Pop in for 5 minutes or stay all night!
