TEARFUND: Catalyst
Thriving individuals and flourishing communities are at the heart of Tearfund’s UK work. Within the overall framework of Tearfund’s world vision, the IMPACT UK Team has a national vision to see ‘every UK church envisioned and equipped to bring wholeness and flourishing in place of poverty, disadvantage and inequality.’ Poverty that effects people’s opportunities, finds them struggling with their identity and sees relationships fracturing and communities that need reconciliation and healing.
Over the coming six months there will be teaching, activities and prayers that we can engage with on Sundays and through our house groups. With all of these the aim is to seek the Father’s heart for us and for His community. The ‘end game’ isn’t actually to set up more projects; the ‘end game’ is about seeing transformation amongst ourselves and see each other flourish so that we are:
– Closer to the Father’s heart
– Ready and enabled to receive others and help others to also seek the Father’ heart.
AT THE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY
Calling all those who are involved in Community work, supporting people in the Community and who have a heart for their Community… and especially those in leadership please join me and our Tearfund Development Worker, Audrey, who will take us on a journey through ‘Catalyst’ which will help us to STOP, LOOK, LISTEN & WALK across the road towards developing our Christian community engagement. This will involve lots of team building, looking deeply into our DNA and the Father’s heart and how we take the next steps God is calling us to. Each evening held at St George’s Community Hall. Please commit to every month’s session. Monday 13th October 7-9.45pm
Monday 3rd November 7-9.45pm
